What is Electronics and Communication Engineering

ECE:
Electrical Engineering deals with the practical and innovative applications of electrical sciences and other associated disciplines. Mobile wireless communications, intelligent robots, distributed computing, multimedia signal processing, nanotechnology and IC design and fabrication are some exciting areas that electrical engineers are involved in.The B.Eng.(Electrical Engineering) curriculum is specially designed to provide its graduates with a head-start in these rapidly advancing fields. It is deliberately crafted to provide the requisite balance of breadth and depth for a professional electrical engineering education. It also seeks to establish a solid foundation for life-long learning throughout an electrical engineer’s career.
OBJECTIVES:
Objective 1:        To develop knowledge and skills required for a career in Electrical Engineering
Objective 2:        To develop an understanding of and an ability to apply basic sciences, mathematics and electrical and information sciences to the practice of Electrical Engineering
Objective 3:        To provide an environment that prepares students for diverse careers and lifelong learning
Objective 4:        To enable students to understand the interactions of Electrical Engineering with the society, business, technical, and environmental spheres
Objective 5:        To enable students to contribute to national development and global economy
